Design X Develop is an engineering studio building web platforms, developer tools, automation, and maintainable digital systems.

Austin Thesing founded and leads the studio. He stays close to the code, the technical decisions, and the quality bar on every project.

I'm an engineer first. I write code, shape technical direction, build interfaces and systems, and care about performance, accessibility, maintainability, and the details that make software easier to own.

The work spans frontend architecture, marketing infrastructure, internal tools, static site archiving, asset delivery, workflow automation, and AI-assisted developer tooling. The throughline is practical engineering: clean code, clear systems, and considered interfaces.

AI is part of the engineering workflow here. DXD actively uses current frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, alongside open-source and model-lab releases from Moonshot, DeepSeek, and others, to push code, review, automation, research, and implementation further.

The studio stays small on purpose. Every project gets direct, senior-level engineering. No hand-offs to juniors, no account managers — just me and the collaborators I trust.
